Wrestling: Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics

This July, the Summer Olympic Games were hosted in Japan. The games will be celebrating their opening on Friday evening at National Stadium in Tokyo.

There are 33 separate sporting events and 339 medals to win this month.

The Summer Olympics opened on July 23rd of the year 2020 at 8:00 PST. “Emotions United” was the theme chosen for this Olympic Games and is based on Japan’s hope to unite all cultures through sports during a coronavirus pandemic in Tokyo. The performances were modern interpretations of traditional Japanese culture, as because of COVID-19, there were no live attendees to experience them

10,000 athletes from 206 countries took place in the Olympics this year. But parade of participating countries’ delegations carried out on a limited scale. The first at the National Stadium in Tokyo as part of the parade was Greece’s delegation and refugee teams from Turkey. Republic of Korea came 103rd out its 32 delegates with swimmers Hwang Sung-woo and Kim Young-kyung carrying their slogan

South Koreans will compete in archery, fencing, shooting and taekwondo among 339 medal events at the 2018 Summer Olympics. The competition begins on July 24. Preliminary competitions in badminton, boxing, gymnastics and swimming take place on the same day as well.
